Arris Rail Fence

Arris Rails Fences are fences which use Arris Rails, this is a triangular rail which sits in the notches of fence posts and supports featheredge boards. Additional brackets can be installed to securely support the rail to the post.

Now here comes what most can find confusing!

With an Arris Rail Fence there is many options you can go for to complete your fence. The musts are 2 Posts of your choice, that being a Wooden Post or a Concrete Morticed Post along with 2 to 3 Arris Rails depending on the height of your fence you can see more information here.

Depending on your choice of Post also determines if you need additional brackets for the Arris Rail, if you choose a Concrete Morticed Post you do not as the post comes with slots for the Arris Rail to slot into. However if you choose a Wood Post, you will require 2 brackets for each Arris Rail used.

With Posts out the way you then need to choose a Gravel Board we recommend using a 6 inch Gravel Board but the matierial is your choice can find more on our Gravel Boards here

Regardless of what you choose you will require Cleats(Brackets) for the Gravel Boards to slot into the post. For a Concrete Morticed Gravel Board a Galvanised 2pin Cleat is recommended and for a Wooden Gravel Board a Panel or Board clip is recommended
